My PhD research is carried out in relation to a research alliance on Governing and Enabling Transitions Towards a Low Carbon Society. Through my research I am investigating social practices connected to domestic light in Denmark and how these practices' (mis)match related European policies that enforces energy efficient lighting mainly through technological optimization. I futher look into how visions for LED light as the 'light of the future' are carried out, and what that implies for/ how it interelates with systemic changes within the energy (and building) sector.

Keywords for my research interests are: social practices, transitions, everyday life, energy consumption, and relations between production and consumption.
